Mixed bag

We had a mixed bag of results this weekend
Our minors lost away to Na Piarsaigh on a scoreline of 1-11 to 09 pts
In the Tom Creedon Cup Semi Final our intermediate team were defeated on a scoreline of 2-12 to 11. Having got into an early lead of 3 points to no score Newmarket then grew into the game and scored1-02 without reply in a 3 min spell at the quarter mark. Despite having led 7pts to 1-03 at half time we never really got into the game second half and Newmarket ran out deserved winners in the end.
In the junior A league this morning the junior team came away with the points after a gritty display in atrocious conditions in Dublin Hill. An early Dan Linehan goal set us on the way and with the defence in mean form giving very little away we reached the turn leading 1-02 to no score. We faced into the elements in the second half and produced a great display of defending and with each player willing to back each other up we ran out deserved winners on a score of 1-08 to 3 pts. With Ian Giltinan and Donal Cremin leading by example we had some great displays from David o Sullivan ,Ross Coleman ,Sean Keating,Owen Sull and Dan Linehan.
Congratulations too by the way to our Junior manager Colm Crowley and his wife Maria on the birth of their new baby boy.
