Injury Policy

The GAA through Croke Park operate an injury scheme which is funded entirely from Club and GAA funds. It is important to understand that the scheme is NOT designed to provide insurance cover or to fully compensate injured players. The scheme’s intention is to provide support that mitigates financial loss and as such exists to potentially supplement other schemes or insurance programmes e.g. VHI, Aviva. Insurance cover, if applicable should be exercised through these channels in the first instance.
