Commitment to Safeguarding our members

At St Michael’s Gaelic Football Club, we are fully committed to the enjoyment of Gaelic Football by our members. We acknowledge the direction of Croke Park and the need to create a positive culture founded on inclusion and equality with zero tolerance of bullying. Every player and parent who registers to become a member of St Michael’s Gaelic Football Club agrees to our established codes of behaviour.

We acknowledge the need to meet with legislative requirements and the standards and policies of our association and club. Accordingly, we are continuously reviewing our procedures and policies with players, parents and club officials to provide an environment that promotes safety, fairness and fun and where everybody has a voice.

Our commitment to Safeguarding is delivered through:

  • A Dedicated Club Welfare Officer

  • Garda Vetting of all Coaches and Staff involved in coaching Juvenile members

  • Adherence to the GAA Safeguarding Policy

  • A Protected Environment that gives voice to Children and Coaches

  • Robust Reporting Procedures
