ST MICHAELS 1-05 VALLEY ROVERS 1-07

Our Seniors lost out to Valleys last night in round 1 of Championship below in Shanbally. They gave it their all, but it was not to be in a low scoring encounter where the strong breeze in the opening half was a major factor. Still though, a quickfire goal, and a two pointer immediately after HT propelled us into a lead that gave us the hope in a large Michaels support that we could push on. It wasn’t to be however ,and we now move on to next game against Nemo in August. Injuries , travel and retirements have been our biggest obstacles all year ,we now need to regroup and focus on Nemo Rangers. Echo match report from Barry O’Mahony below .
